The Idea
A senior creative team came up with the concept. I liked it enough to roll up my sleeves and help make it real. The idea: a fork that screws directly onto Thomy sauce tubes, allowing sauce to be dispensed through the tines via a simple pressure mechanism — no plates, no dripping, no waste.
I took on the engineering side. I calculated the throughput volume of a fork tine, chose the most viable internal channel design, then briefed a private engineer friend who translated everything into a CAD file. From there we went straight to 3D print. The result: a working physical prototype that proved the concept could function exactly as imagined.
The idea started as a creative thought. Prototyping made it a real product conversation. Sometimes the best way to sell an idea is to hand someone the thing itself.
